In 2007 we were invited to do the wheelhouse and interior of this immaculate rebuild of a 1930 motor tender to an America’s cup defender.
The exterior in honduras mahogany included the coachroof and complex seats housing the electrical panel and a drinks fridge. Early photographs had to be analysed and measured to get as close as possible to the original look.
The interior in Makore and locust packed a lot into very tight quarters . A tiny bathtub and trapezoidal drawers maximised the functionality of the charming cruising set up.
This project was done on behalf of Elizabeth Meyer of Newport , she who restored Endeavour and reinvigorated the J class, project managed this restoration to the highest standard.
